opensuse 11.2 with apple bluetooth keyboard

Keyboard: Apple aluminum wireless bluetooth keyboard
Bluetooth adapter: Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)

I use kbluetooth4 to setup the keyboard, I run through the wizard and it says connected, but it does not work. And it shouldn’t work because it never asked for a passkey or to type anything on the keyboard.

I was researching online, but opensuse 11.2 does not have hidd to follow the steps shown in ubuntu forums. How do I install this keyboard?

4 day bump

Having exactly the same problem.

i do not remember where i saw it…but somewhere i ran across a
forum of Mac folks discussing their problems with installing/using
Linux on Apple hardware…

what i’m saying is: waiting here for some openSUSEer with an Apple to
happen by and find your post may be a LONG wait…

suggest you consider finding a large group of Apple hardware owners
who might also be experimenting with installing Linux…and, ask there…

wait! did either of you google? i ask because searching on
linux apple bluetooth keyboard
<http://www.google.com/search?q=linux+apple+bluetooth+keyboard>

turned up http://game-sat.com/~brian/Howtos/AppleKeyboard.htm which
(on the surface–i can’t try it) appears to be a generic Linux way
to get it to work…that is, not a specific Ubuntu way…

anyway, there are lots of other cites which also do not appear to be
hard linked to Ubuntu…

ps: remember to have a good backup prior to experimenting…and never
forget google is your friend!!

Looks like they finally have it working, just have to wait until the next release of kbluetooth.
