Hi,
I’ve upgrade my opensuse using zypper dup, and I’m getting an error in boot. The script /lib/mkinitrd/boot/83-mount.sh in line 101 have a call to fsck command, but my system don’t have fsck, only fsck.“fs”, then my file system is mounted as read only.
The kernel version is 2.6.31-rc5.
Anyone know how to solve this problem?
Since you are using 11.2 could you post this in Pre-release Beta?
I have exactly the same problem as you and found it by searching. I don’t want you to be put off by having to move your post… I tried changing fsck for e2fcsk, but no luck. Did you ever solve this?
What did you upgrade from what to what?
fsck is a generic function that in turn calls the xxxfsck needed for the actual checking the particular file system (see man fsck). Also fsck and family are base install items. If you don’t have one or more of them you have a serious file system problem. Try running from a bootable CD or other device.
