openSUSE 11.2 on Acer Aspire 4730z?

I am a long time Ubuntu user, and have decided to make the switch to openSUSE.

I just wanted to make sure everything would work on my Acer Aspire 4730z laptop. It’s got an Intel processor, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, Intel Graphics, and an Intel WiFi 802.11B/G/N card. Is everything supported “out of the box”?

Also, where can I find a manual online?

Do you guys happen to have a SUSE netbook edition, or should I just stick with Ubuntu Netbook Remix on my Dell Mini 10v?

From our HCL, not very comprehensive
HCL/Laptops/Acer - openSUSE

You might be better checking your individual hardware specs
Hardware - openSUSE

I don’t know about the dell or if there netbook remix

I’m not finding my wifi card on the list.

I have a “RaLink RT2860”

All my other hardware is supported, but I can’t find anything for the wireless card. I’ll go ahead and install, and keep my Ubuntu USB key ready if I need to re install Ubuntu because SUSE isn’t working right.

Thanks for the links!

What are the PCI IDs for the device. You can get them from ‘/sbin/lspci -nnv’.
