Try turning off compression for NX session you’re trying
to establish (Disable ZLIB Compression).
i’ve tried to install nx at my fathers network at the last three days and i didn’t work. Now, i’m home and tried again and it works (11.0/localhost but i think it should also work with LAN/WAN) :). On my opinion, the problem results from the wrong key-naming.
Nothing again! thanks for reply but i can not find where the problem is!Maybe i have forgotten a procedure installation step ( may be an important package). If you have to describe the installation procedure of NX client in OpenSuse 11.2 to someone that does not have any idea of Linux, what would you tell him to do from scratch?

I made instructions for setting up FreeNX a couple of years ago.
I guess they should still work: http://waxborg.servepics.com/english/linux/freenx.en.html
Vahis
“Sunrise 9:28am (EET), sunset 3:15pm (EET) at Espoo, Finland (5:46 hours
daylight)” http://waxborg.servepics.com
Linux 2.6.25.20-0.5-default #1 SMP 2009-08-14 01:48:11 +0200 x86_64

Is it required install “nx server” to the server computer?
If not, what should i do? What i am asking is if there is a way to install (properly) and use NX Client to my computer in order to connect to my university? In Windows Vista i don’t have a problem!
the description from Vahis on his website is quite good. If i found it earlier, i saved a lot of time. My own test from another Machine (Win2K, Nomachine Client, LAN) works.
But back to your Question: On The server computer you have to install the nx or freenx server, additionally every user who needs nx from an remote machine has to add.
Remove all from your Server computer and then follow the description from vahis. On my opinion the misfunction results from the users and their rights.
