I have the server running as a nfs, ftp, dns, samba server with a 1 gig ethernet. Every now and the connection to the server drops, i get on the server run ifconfig i still have my static ip address. I ping google.com and nothing, restart my network try to ping nothing so i reboot and it is fixed. then probably a few hours later it drops again. Any ideas?

you’re using. Please check relevant kernel messages:
/var/log/messages (file)
dmesg (command)
Kind regards,

Thanks for the help, it seems that after moving the sever to a different room and restarting it, that everything is working fine.
