openSuse 11.1 Gnome: impressed!

Just right click your mouse and use run to fire your application. It’s faster.

Use Gnome-DO (such a great application) while you may for example get rid of many apps in application browser to make it more transparent then Gnome-Do is You app because it lists all applications You may have, best idea and You don’t even need a mouse for that  Just two buttons and Gnome-Do!!

Yep, that’s what I do… speaking of which…

That’s one of the things that bugs me about Gnome!

When you type something into the search, it comes up with a bunch of documents, web sites you’ve recently visited, and so forth, and so on, but… it doesn’t find any apps.

In order to search for an app in Gnome, you have to use the ‘filter’ in the application menu.

So, while I like the application launcher better in Gnome, I prefer the search feature in KDE 4.x

LoL!

Go figure… lol!

Thanks, guys!

I’ll give those ideas a whirl…

Good point, i was also thinking why it doesn’t work and i even added /usr/share/applications to beagle’s searched directories, anyone know solution to that one?? (I’ll open a thread in applications section just in case there is none regarding this thing)
