I have had 11.0 running quite smoothly for the passed months. I decided to give 11.1 a run on some spare disk space. However, the installer won’t get any further than loading the Linux kernel to 80% and it just stops dead. Nothing happening.
Beta 4 was a disappointment, as well: it would tell me I had to have Disc 1 in the drive.
I’m running on an AMD Athlon 64 X2 and using the x86_64 DVD iso’s. Any ideas on how I can get these beta’s going?

Try using some ‘Boot Options’ you may get suggestions using F1.
Seems it was as simple as a bad DVD. But a stupid coincidence, because I also downloaded a live CD and that one failed, apparently also a bad CD I used. Thanks for the replies, though!
