OpenSuse 11.1 and Novell Client

Hi!

In OpenSuse 10 with the Novell Client, I could browse the Novell Network through Konqueror. Now I get the following error:

Protocol not supported

nnn

Any ideas how to fix this?

Are you using SLED or SLES ? if so,look here
SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED) - NOVELL FORUMS
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) - NOVELL FORUMS
If not, post your request in the appropriate area, this is for forum usage support,i.e. problems with the forum

Um, he says in the subject openSUSE 11.1.

I understand there may be an NCL in beta that should run on 11.1; the
previous releases have some known issues (not sure if the OP’s issue is
one of them or not).

The current beta works fine on Opensuse 11.1. Minor annoyance: The “N” doesn’t go to the tray, at least not in KDE4.2
I didn’t try the Konqueror integration though, I use the links created through the loginscript with Dolphin.

Cool, and good to know. I’ve been using internal builds on 11.0 and
there are some issues - like the library dependency for libbfd isn’t met
(11.0 has 2.18 and NCL wants 2.19) and the map command dies/segfaults
regularly, necessitating a reboot (process in D state, never releases).

Here he was trying to get the guy to post in an actual support forum and
you guys go and ruin it.

Ah, but the support forum in question wasn’t the right one. The
question is about openSUSE, not about SLE.

Though arguably if there’s an NCL forum on the Novell forums, that would
probably be an even better place for the question.

Thanks everyone for your answers - but Andy is right - this forum is for support on the “forum” engine.

I will repost in the appropriate forum.
