openSUSE 11.0 Network Installation - "No repository found"

Hi,

I’ve got new computer in MiniTower case and without any CD/DVD ROM. There are only USB ports and my 1 GB USB flash disk. I decided to try network installation with bootable flash disk.

So I downloaded Mini CD (71 MB) (openSUSE-11.0-NET-i386.iso) and followed this article SuSE install from USB drive - openSUSE.

Everything worked fine, I made bootable flash disk and started an installation. Installation wizard asked for network configuration via DHCP (looked successfully). I have chosen repository source from HTTP but then it asked me to “Enter IP address of the HTTP server”. I’ve tried ‘download.opensuse.org’ and directory on the server ‘/distribution/11.0/repo/oss/’ either IP of this domain (195.135.221.130) but every time it ended saying “No repository found”.

I have no idea where’s the problem? Maybe network wasn’t configured properly but DHCP looked OK.

Is there anyone experienced with network installation who can help me?

Thank you in advice.

Hi
It might be the redirector, I would try a mirror;

Thank you, malcolmlewis, for your willingness.

Of course I tried mirrors, but the problem was in wrong DHCP configuration on our server. I’ve spoken with network administrator and he solved this problem.

After that I have to say network installation from flash disk is very useful and comfortable.
