It helps downloading various sections at one time.
Speed never gets to the top when downloading from the org site.
Resuming is easy, even when the computer halts or is unplugged or whatever happens that messes with the download.
Smaller chunks are easyer to manage for people with little space available.

Which is why there is a torrent. I’ve never had an issue with speed and
honestly I run from things put up on Rapidshare as from what I’ve seen
in the past, things have been full of malware. Which brings up the
issue, if you don’t check the md5sum of this off Rapidshare against the
Novell given md5, how are you going to trust this isn’t full of
exploited software?

I agree on checking against the md5 of this site.
It is already accesible at http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.0/iso/dvd/MD5SUMS so it would be ok if the original post only refered to that resource.
Anyway… I haven’t had problems with Rapidshare, because I always get the links from forums that comment on the content (so others test the files before I get my hands on the software).

Torrents aren´t my weapon of choice because I find them highly irregular on transmition rates. RS always downloads at my top speed.

I downloaded all 46 parts, but when i start extracting (by WinRAR) a msg tells that 'part 16’ is corruted.>:( I downloaded part 16 twice but still the problem occurs. Do u have a solution? If the file (part 16) is really corrupted then pls re-upload. Thanks at all.

Hi, everybody

all we know that there are many rapidshare search websites to search for the rapidshare links we want (Ex:Rapid4Shared.com).
So finding the rapidshare link is so easy but the problem is with downloading.

Does anyone know a solution to bypass the limit or download from Rapidshare for free without using premium services?

Thank you VERY MUCH! That was very thoughtful of you! I was hoping that someone would upload it in such a way!

I have a pour internet connection and I couldn’t finish downloading the .iso using an FTP downloader (never tried if the site supported resume, hopefully I didn’t have to!)

As a rapidshare Premium User, this solution seems to be the quickest and flawless way of getting my hands to the little candy! rotfl!

PS : Hope that .rar no 16, won’t have any problem! :\
