OpenSuse 10.3 new user openoffice badly created

hi all,

I have this question:

on my OpenSuse 10.3 machine, when creating a new user, openoffice does not work .:frowning:

When trying to open a file a gives EM , language of the user interface can not be determined; ( something like that, I’m translating this from Dutch  )

wen I check ≃/.ooo2.0/user, there are only 20 subfiles and folders instead of 60 for a normaly functioning account.

who can point me in the direction of what files are used when creating new user-openoffice so that I can correct them?

Thanks for any advise,

johan

You will find it difficult to get any responses to your post. 10.3 is too old and previous versions of openoffice had a lot of ‘funny’ problems.

Please post output of:

rpm -qa | grep OpenOffice

As told before, see to it, that you switch to a newer version. The other reply clearly states why.

ISTR someone having a similar problem that was driven by
a problem in language selection at the system (whole box)
level. It may relate to your issue.

I recently migrated from up to date oS 10.3-KDE 3.5 to
oS 11.1-KDE 3.5 very smoothly. I’ll be glad to help you
migrate is you are interested.
