Openshot - blender

Hi guys I need to learn to fix this.

Install Blender and Openshot and try to make a Animated title. It used to work fine last week.

"
Blender, the free open source 3D content creation suite is required for this action (http://www.blender.org).

Please check the preferences in OpenShot and be sure the Blender executable is correct. This setting should be the path of the ‘blender’ executable on your computer. Also, please be sure that it is pointing to Blender version 2.62 or greater.

Blender Path:
/usr/bin/

Thank you for your attention.

Where is the problem?
Blender must be executable. Change to the directory and execute chmod +x directory.

I’ve had very poor results trying to run OpenShot.

At SCALE 12x a few days ago, I had a chance to discuss this with the Author of OpenShot, he admits that he builds and deploys his code through Launchpad which of course means that the app is guaranteed to run only on Debian (and maybe Ubuntu). YMMV with any other distro. And, at least when I spoke to him he wasn’t willing to try to build on the Open Build Service instead.

So,
I’m using other alternatives today.
IMO using OpenShot is fragile. It <might> work for very specific things, and an update might be all it takes to cause problems.

If you’re saying you’re having problems with Blender, that’d be more surprising (although my work doesn’t require using it regularly so I’m not on top of it constantly).

Need actual errors to analyze any issues you may have.

HTH,
TSU

I guess you mean I should : sudo chmod +x /usr/bin/blender

TY I know all the problems of usinmg Openshot and I;m not in the need of a serious solution. My intention in the future is to make Openshot entirely obsolete regardless of bug status.

Yes. I meant that.
