I was just wondering about updating OpenOffice on 11.0. Now I know if I update 11.0 to 11.1 beta 4 I’ll get OpenOffice 3.0 but since I’ve done the research, it’s only the beta version too. So what I want to know is which one can I get that will update the version I have into version 3.0?
The full version of OOo 3.0 has been released, and has been added into the main repos, so you can simply upgrade from there.
Go into YaST and select install software, go to the repository manager and add the OOo repo below.
Index of /repositories/OpenOffice.org:/STABLE/openSUSE_11.0
Next, search for openoffice and go to the menu Package->All in this list->Upgrade if newer version available
That will upgrade to OOo 3.0 final
