I discovered a bug in openSUSE 11.2-RC 1.
Connecting openOffice.org to a mySQL database does not work properly using the Wizzard.
After providing all the necessary information, including jdbc driver and user name I click “Test connection”. after which a message box appears with the info “The connection was established successfully”.
Then clicking “Next” and “Finish” the OpenOffice.org file manager appears.
Typing in the file name and clicking “Save” the file manager closes again, but the database file is not being created.
I hope that this will be fixed before the final release.
Is there a workaround so that the file can be created without using the Wizzard?
I found this problem on a small office LAN, using a Toshiba Satellite laptop.
