Openoffice Latex BASIC Runtime Error

I’m trying to use the OOoLatex plugin for Openoffice, but whenever I try to use it, I get a n error that says

BASIC Runtime error.
Object variable not set.

with the line

oDrawDocCtrl = oDrawDoc.getCurrentController()

highlighted. I have all the latex packages I need (texlive, texlive-bin, texlive-bin-latex, texlive-latex), and the Kopetex plugin works fine, so it’s not a problem with latex, I don’t think. Any clues on how to fix this? Screenshot of the error.
