OpenOffice and Office2007 question

Hi all,

Does OO that comes with opensuse11 open office2007 extensions (docx, etc…)?

If not, what would I need?

Thanks,

Heeter

It does, actually. The formats all originated with Office 2003, and are cross-compatible with OOO from 2.3 up. I save my documents (from Word 2007) in the format of Word 97 (DOC format) not because of issues with OO, but with older versions of Office (specifically, 2000 and earlier).

the docx problem has been long since solved, but someone needs to take Mr Gates and line him up against a wall. What a looser.

Great,

Thanks for the responses

Heh.

Personally, I like the .docx format (in comparison to .doc). I think they must compress the text, because the file size seems to be smaller most of the time.
