Wrong, it’s in the repos.
Tell more - where?
OpenOffice 3.0.0.3.5 is only rc… (release candidate - not final)
What makes you think so?
I have never understood go-oo.org release numbers, but my “Help->about” says: “OOO300m9” and “3.0.0.3.5”.
Go to Index of /OOO300 and the latest versions are “OOO300m9” and “3.0.0.3.5”.
Note that “3.0.0.3.5”, from 16th october, is newer than “3.0.0.4”, from 10th september.
And most important, it’s availale from OpenOffice.org:STABLE instead of OpenOffice.org:UNSTABLE.
and my OO 3.0.0.3.4 say too 000300m9 (Build:9358) …was/is it too final to you mind?
Petr Mladek say:
…“and wath you will say from that: I’m happy to announce that OpenOffice.org 3.0.0.3.1 packages are available in the Build Service OpenOffice:org:UNSTABLE project. They are the first release candidate of the OpenOffice.org 3.0 version.”
I mean that …3.0.0.3.1 was rc1
and so 3.0.0.3.4 maybe is? …rc4???
so I think.
and 3.0.0.3.4 - that 000300m9 find from opensuse factory 28.9.2008…
…it maybe not be final-version… couple weeks before OO.org 3.0.0
E.g. here:
Index of /pub/opensuse/repositories/OpenOffice.org:/STABLE/openSUSE_10.3
Index of /pub/opensuse/repositories/OpenOffice.org:/STABLE/openSUSE_11.0
Build 3.0.0.3.5
Totally off-topic, but could someone please shoot the ‘thumbs down’ icon out of the selection list… All kinds of general posts that get opened using that icon. It’s depressing (me)!
Are these actual opensuse repos? I don’t them listed in the community repo list
Heeter
and ones again…
openSUSE 11.1 (beta3) was realeased and was shipped with KDE 4.1.2. I’ll go into my initial experience with 4.1.2, after I touch on a few changes since some of the older betas:
What’s changed since beta 1?
Major changes in this release include:
» Live CDs for x86 and GNOME and KDE
» OpenOffice.org 3.0 (it is 3.0.0.6)
» Mono 2.0 Final
» Linux 2.6.27.1 (fixes e1000e issue)
» CUPS 1.3.9
» Parts of 11.1 branding are now in place
» Amarok 2.0 beta 2
» Banshee 1.3.2
» GNOME 2.24
etc…
Yes - ‘stable’ but not final
it is sc developper-version too
first factory and after that to ‘stable’
nothing to do with final
this number, 000300m9 (Build:9358), is OpenOffice.org-versions number
and it is nothing to do with OO-OpenSuse-versions 3.0.0.3.x
They number can we see in both OpenSuses Openffices 3.0.0.3.4 AND 3.0.0.3.5
They both are developperversions - first factory and after then ‘stable’
and they are nothing to do with final …or official
They both are rc-versions
What list? They are openSUSE Build service repos.
And
$ curl -s 'http://download.opensuse.org/YaST/Repos/_openSUSE_110_Additional.xml' | grep 'OpenOffice.org:/STABLE'

If you order them by release date:
Once again, I don’t understand go-oo.org release numbers. But I don’t see any motive to call 3.0.0.3.5 release candidate.

Yuo not know, who is Petr Mladec? He is person, who do openoffice-packets… and Petr Mladek say:
…“and wath you will say from that: I’m happy to announce that OpenOffice.org 3.0.0.3.1 packages are available in the Build Service OpenOfficerg:UNSTABLE project. They are the first release candidate of the OpenOffice.org 3.0 version.”
I mean that …3.0.0.3.1 was rc1
and so 3.0.0.3.4 maybe is? …rc4???
so I think.
3.0.0.3.1 is the first rc (rc1)
3.0.0.3.2 is second rc (rc2)
3.0.0.3.3 is rc3
etc…
newest 3.0.0.6 (include OpenSuse 11.1-beta3) is MAYBE final or nearly final
but you tru what you will…
3.0.0.2 was beta
3.0.0.3 are rc
in ready/final-version the red number much be bigger number than 3
So 3.0.0.4, released at 10-Sep-2008 is “MAYBE final or nearly final”. But a month after, at 16-Oct-2008, was released a release candidate (3.0.0.3.5)?
In release order:
…if so, they change opinion very frequently.
Petr Mladek is also the guy that has moved openOffice 3.x packages from “OpenOffice.org:UNSTABLE” to “OpenOffice.org:STABLE”. He calls 3.0.0.3.5 stable.
and OpenSuse 11.1-beta 3 NOT include final OpenOffice 3.0 - sorry!
It is rc2
