Open terminal from startup menu

Hello

Is it possible to open terminal, with pressing any keys, from det startup options screen? I am running 11.2 with kde

do you mean not to get a graphical interface? you would probably need to modify some startup scripts for that.

Normally, you can just type in the single number 3, for run level 3 and then press enter, which prevents the desktop from starting and from where you can run any terminal applications, after you log in. By the way, openSUSE 11.2 is no longer supported and the present version is 12.1. Any reason why you have elected to stay with openSUSE 11.2 or did you mean to say 12.1?

Thank You,

I don’t understand your question. Instead of «with pressing any keys» would that be «without»?
Do you want a graphical mode with only a terminal, or text mode with terminal? Do you want to
get that session without having to enter login and password? Do you want that inside kde?

Are you really running 11.2? It is obsolete and out of maintenance.
