I am having issues with the never to be sufficiently accursed web site.
I am having problems with installing 11.4 on any of my machines. That
bothers me but i have applied in these forums for help and got some that
works and some that does not. That is OK.
My beef is with the ^&^(&* %^%R$^& $%^$ U(*$ website! Since i gan’t get
11.4 going i would like to try 11.3 and update KDE to 4.6 or better.
Hmmm. No visible way to get to 11.3. Not good! it is still supposedly
supported.
Can anybody explain how to use the existing links to get to 11.3 so i can
download it and check its md5sum? It really p%&^&()^ me off to have to
fight the website.

Checked it out. No help there. I click the link for 11.3 and it sends me
to an 11.3 page. I click download link on that page and it sends me to
11.4. At least i can point close enough now so that others can find the
bug.

Didn’t know about the other. There is getting to be too many places to
take issues to and not enough clarity on which one to go to when,
especially when posting NNTP. I was pretty steamed when i first posted.

are you asking directions on how to use the page?
select any ONE of these five, as you need:
a) 4.7GB DVD
b) Live GNOME
c) Live KDE
d) Network
e) openSUSE Derivatives
when you have selected the ONE above which meets your needs, then all
of the next level of possibilities is shown immediately below it…for
example if you select Network install then you get to choose from
a) download method of direct link, bittorrent, metalink OR pic mirror
b) type computer of 32 OR 64 bit
Click the Download button and while downloading READ all the other
directions and information on the page…and, all the information in
all the links listed there…

Mmmm. No. The issue is many of the links do not do what they say.

If it worked correctly.

as far as i can see they work for me–true i didn’t click on all 32
combinations of downloads available…but, all i clicked on seems ok to
me…
exactly what do you mean when you say “many of the links do not do what
they say”? are they downloading the wrong image? or not starting any
down load? or not completing the download? or what?
or is it some of the other links…like to licenses, or help, or
WELL…i got tired of clicking and couldn’t find one single link with
didn’t do what i expect it to do…

Every time and every method i could find using links to try to download
the 11.3 iso image sent me to an 11.4 download page. Maybe it has been
fixed by now, haven’t tried recently.

I would suggest trying again rather than continuing to have people chase
down the issue.
