Open Suse 11 recognize Vista on Raid set up?

I have four SATA drives in my system. Vista is installed in a RAID configuration (2 drives) so that leaves two available drives for SuSe. In the past, I’ve tried to install other Linux distributions unsuccessfully. The installation seems to go well, but when it comes time to install the “grub”, it doesn’t handle the raid installation well. There is an obvious issue with the RAID config and installing the grub.

Any thoughts or suggestions to work around this would be appreciated. Thanks.

If not very familiar with RAID but it seems that he has trouble reading the Bootinformation from the raid Partition. I assume that your MBR is on the Raid array?

Maybe try to create a /boot on the linuxdrive?

How would I go about doing that? (/boot on linux drive)? Thanks.
