Open SuSe 11.1 Software Repositories

Hallo,
Vielen Dank

Hello,
Almost every time when you post on Yast software installed you need the SuSe installation DVD in the drive.
Is there a possibility the contents of this DVD to the hard copy so that when a program installation
the data from the disk can be loaded?
Or there are sources on the Internet?
Asking for your help
Thank you very much

I am not sure, I never tried this, but what if you go to the YAST control center and the software repositories and remove the DvD entry from that list. Then copy the contents of the DvD to a folder and add that folder to the software repositories.

Spot on with that also if you want you can use k3b or other burning software
to just copy it as an iso, this can be used also from yast as a repo and
will be mounted automagically for you.

This is handy if you start with say the CD version ( if you have no DVD
drive ) and d/load the dvd iso, you can just use that without unpacking it.
