Open Suse 11.1 HDMI 1080P Problems

I am running an Amd chipset with an Nvidia 8200m inter-graded card. I am running the video through the hdmi port to my Sony 40v4100 1080p tv. For some odd reason when I chmod my /etc/X11/xorg.conf file to write the 1920x1080 resolution it never works.

Even after pressing Ctrl+Alt+backspace

I have even tried Sax2 and their isn’t any 1080p resolution. I have had 1080p working on Ubuntu.

Any suggestions!

kdesu kwrite /etc/X11/xorg.conf

or in gnome

gnomesu gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

xorg.conf file It still doesn’t work. Screen resolution says 800x600 75hz.:

You didn’t install any driver
That xorg file shows you as vesa
