after some forum search I found “my problem” seems to exist since 2017 (!?) [1] but I did not found any resolution given.
My built-in bluetooth adapter works and devices (mobile, head-set, boom-box, etc) are also detected during scan and able to connect. But after each reboot my headset has to be paired newly before further MANUAL connection is possible - there is no more AUTOMATIC connection possible in Tumbleweed KDE Plasma - any ideas?
Have a nice weekend & don’t forget to rock’n’roll - thank you!
Please try the suggestions you can find on these pages and if something needs additional explanation or if something make thing works please report that here.

Thank you for these suggestions. I had already tried some of them, but couldn’t find a solution since the integrated adapter was already activated at system startup. So I didn’t pay any further attention.
In the meantime, I downloaded the latest version of Linux Mint XFCE —please forgive me — and checked Bluetoot behaviour on this system
Since it was live booted, I had to establish the connection manually, which wasn’t a problem. The Bluetooth adapter was already active at startup, so I just had to connect to the headset — worked perfectly right away.
Then, out of curiosity, I checked the entries in Shokz App for the headset again and deleted all the entries. So that I have to reconfigure everything, even the mobile connection.
After a restart, I reconfigured the Bluetooth settings in Tumbleweed and restarted the system again. And what do you know? Suddenly, it worked again without any further intervention — the headset connected to the laptop immediately after logging in.
Apparently, it was an entry in the mobile app that was messing up the Bluetooth system. I didn’t think of that sooner…
Anyway, thanks for the tips, they definitely changed my thinking.
