I am on openSUSE 13.1 and i was copying some file from one hard disk to another and all of a sudden i saw a black screen with two lines (i didn’t get to read them) and now i can only see the backround and the mouse and can’t do anything. I don’t want shut down my laptop cause i cut and paste the files and i fear they might be corrupt or lost. Any solutions to that?
Also i noticed every now and then it displays the black screen saying “Welcome to opensuse 13.2 desktop…” the line under it says “login:” and i cant write anything.
It sounds as if Xorg crashed.
So do i have to shut it down or is there any other way?
See if you can find any logs that might help pinpoint the problem.
