Is there any way to know if a member is online or offline?

I often leave my PC at a given post/thread, and walk away from it for hours. In which case, given I might be 20 kilometers from my computer, am I on line?

I always thought a green dot to the right of the name means you’re online. Maybe I’m wrong.

Red/green colour-blindness may be a problem for some, and a higher percentage among males.
