What were you trying to install? Has worked fine here for many packages on both i586 and x86_64.
I try to install wine-door. one click install function is really convenient for some difficult software. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
thank you
Perhaps you should then change the title of your thread to mention wine-door so that people can see the package name. I know nothing about this package.
I don’t think so. Because what I concerned about is “one-click install” function in opensuse11.0 rather then wine-door itself. If next time I want to install some software else, this function in opensuse would be very helpful.
Well as I said, OCI works fine for me, so it could be a problem with this bundle rather than the OCI mechanism or the architecture. That’s an unproven assumption you are making, that OCI is at fault.
Also I’m running 11.2 and I think OCI works better with recent releases. 11.0 has only 6 months more of support BTW.
11.2 is very unstable and many professional software can’t run under 11.2 correctly. 11.0 is much better than 11.2 to this point.
But to come back to your problem, I think you are more likely to get answers if you write “I having problems installing wine-doors on 11.0 with OCI” without any prejudgement on whether OCI doesn’t (or does) work with x86_64, which is what your title claims. As it is people will just look at the title and say, I don’t have that problem, and not bother to read further.
Where did you get that?
Unstable? I installed on my server the day 11.2 was released, and it’s up since then, with 5 desktop ( 3 KDE4, 1 Gnome, 1 XFCE ) users logged in as well.
Which professional software? I never had so few issues getting everything back to work.
