Older Android not supported by Forums.. and no option to choose

I’d have to think I might have to install another otherwise unnecessary User Agent plugin and/or browser on my Android Phone…

At the moment, because my phone is recognized as a mobile device, the Forums serves a mobile version of the website…

And, it looks like the hyperlink code is not supported by the javascript in this older browser(Usually this type of non-support is really silly and related to the use of widgets since fundamental link code is so basic)

Would appreciate it if a solution is provided that supports devices the mobile Forums doesn’t support.

Android 2.3.4
Although its overall market share is small, because of the fragmented nature of the mobile OS market, as of a recent Android report it’s also <the> largest single version of Android in use.

Really irritated sometimes about these periodic problems with vBulletin,

That is probably your best option in the short term.

Thanks for the report, I’ll pass it along.

Mine is 2.3.6. I don’t use the forums via android-phone, but recently I
had to install Firefox to access some sites properly, instead of the
default browser. Chrome is not compatible with my phone (what!?). Some
sites fail because they use flash.

Yes, 2.3.6 is not recent Android, but I bought this Samsung phone NEW
less than a year ago… I discarded another similar model with Android 4
because the reported battery life was shorter.

There must be millions of such phones around.
