Old Texlive packages in 42.3 offical repo - what about "publishing"?

Hi,

I’ve noticed that there seems to be a repo for Leap 42.3 that contains more up to date texlive packages:
https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Publishing/openSUSE_Leap_42.3/

Is it safe to add this repo and install texlive from there?

yes it is
not going into too much details most packages for LEAP are frozen and only get security updates so if you want newer versions OBS repositories are the way to go
