Old computer hardware ideas for Dell Dimension 3000

I have an old Dell Dimension 3000 desktop with 2.4GHz Celeron, 512MB Ram, 40GB hard drive and cd-rom collecting dust.

Does anyone have any ideas of what could be done with this computer regarding Linux/openSUSE? I have two 500GB hard drives lying around I could use if this computer’s motherboard supports more drives.

The only thing I could think of was trying to make a NAS out of it or server. Any ideas and what to install would be appreciated. Or if I just need to recycle it that’s fine too!
