Okular takes 20 seconds to open any file

I’m on a fully updated TW, computer has plenty of RAM, but since two or three days it takes at least 20 seconds for okular to open any document, independently from the size of the file. Refreshing takes similarly long (I compile a *.tex document, and okular needs 20 seconds to display the new version).

I’m at loss how to find the cause. Anybody else with this issue?

I reinstalled okular and the issue seems gone.
