since we have a new printer/scanner in our office (cannon imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C5840i) , most scans are shown with just black pages in okular. Some, mostly small scans are shown correct. Other PDF-viewers display all documents correct. Even the preview, when I hover over a PDF Document in the file-browser is shown correct.
During scanning I can choose the PDF Format (1.4, 1.5, PDF-A, …) but it doesn’t help.
Any ideas?
That looks like a Okular bug to me.
Can you run okular from the command line, just "okular " and see if it outputs anything?
Can you run /usr/bin/pdfinfo on one of the files with a problem and share the output?
If you can share one file, it might be good to open an issue at https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?product=okular
Dear Marel,
thanks for your Answer. The output of just okular gives nothing. pdfinfo of a problematic file gives:

If you can’t see anything which would solve my problem, I’ll open an issue at kde as you suggested
The pdfinfo shows some problems with the content so I think the scanner .pdf output is not 100% complete according to the .pdf spec (if there is such a spec).
Yes, I think you are best of opening an issue at KDE.
