I have recently found that I can no longer print a pdf file from Okular. As soon as I touch a button to select options the system stops and Okular has to be terminated.
Please could somebody suggest an alternative for printing pdf files. Needed urgently before I try and sort out Okular.

Hi Deano and thanks for the suggestions. I installed Evince but didn’t get on very well and for the problem at the time I ended up moving the pdf to another system and using windoze. This should not have been necessary. Of course I could use several other options including a browser and libreoffice but I need the full capability of the HP printer which includes being able to select tray and duplex or not etc. What I had, ie Okular, used to work, but has now gone bad. I would like to trouble shoot this if I can. Where should I start please?

There’s a couple of other pdf viewers. You can try qpdfview, it’s available in the TW repo. It uses the same KDE printing dialogue as Okular. If it works, you’re fine. You may still wish to troubleshoot Okular. But you may face the same issues as with Okular. That would mean you have a problem with the printer driver / printing routine used in KDE and that would affect all other applications using it. Either way, starting the program in a terminal may shed some light.
