Okular annotation settings

Happy New Year folks,
I am using TW, KDE, Plasma (X11) and I have a problem with okular.
I am trying to use SETTINGS > CONFIGURE OKULAR > ANNOTATIONS to change the font size/colour for some of the tools, but okular does not seem to recognize the changes…it continues to use Noto Sans 10, Black font.
I can change inline annotations (e.g. Typewriter) properties manually after the entering an annotation, but I don’t seem to be able to assign default settings.
okular seems to record my changes to the defaults in ~/.kde4/share/config/okularpartrc, but not use them…I tried closing okular; loging out/in; rebooting.
Is someone able to suggest a remedy for what I’ doing wrong, or better yet, how I should be making the changes correctly?
Cheers,
Brad

Maybe check for these files … modify them
Or remove them, then re-start Okular and configure.

:~> find . -name oku*
./.config/okularpartrc
./.config/okularrc
./.local/share/okular
 :~>

Hi aggie,
Sorry, I put in the wrong links (the .kde4 files) in my original; they should have been, as you rightly point out, to:
~/.config/okularpartrc
(I doesn’t seem that ~/.config/okularrc is used for annotation settings, more environment settings )
~/.local/share/okular only has a subdir docdata containing a list of prior files opened in okular.
I have tried copying the ~/.config/okularrc file to the other locations with the same filename, but that had no effect.
It just seems that okular isn’t reading ~/.config/okularrc.
Thanks for trying!
Brad

PS. I also tried closing okular, deleting the config files you noted, then relaunching okular and changing the settings.
okular recreated the config files and recorded my setting changes, but seems to continue to ignore them.

Try the Settings configure backends

I didn’t see anything that appeared relevant in okular’s SETTINGS > CONFIGURE BACKENDS, but I tried setting the text in each place it offered…but no effect.
I’ve also tried changing the SYSTEM SETTINGS > Fonts > General, Fixed width and Small font settings, but that didn’t affect okular’s annotations settings.

PS…I just discovered that the annotation pull-down menu on okular’s MAIN toolbar picks up the custom annotation settings, but the buttons on okular’s ANNOTATION TOOLBAR do not. – I had been using those buttons, so I’m not sure where they get their settings.
Thanks for the help folks.
Brad
