It works out of the box better than xp does in all honesty (because unless you have really old hardware or a major vendor brand machine, you’re unlikely to even get internet access until you’ve used your drivers from another partition or a driver cd rom). Compared to the time taken getting all my xp drivers in place, latest dx9 and service pack updates etc, WAY quicker process too.
Even if you’re brand new to it, there’s almost instantaneous support for any questions you might have (even if you find a great forum for windows, it’s not much use if you don’t already have working internet)
Customising it the way I want, not only is quick and easy, it doesn’t require me to purchase special software to enable it either. Nice to know it’s not bloated with all kinds of crap except for the all kinds of crap I choose to bloat it with.

Your statement sounds familiar. It is almost similar to what my exited pops said 4 years ago while promoting suse to us. We listened to what he said and activities with computer goes with suse.
