Sorry for that little chat, it was a bit OT indeed.
How about ejecting the DVDs via console and giving us the output?
eject
jason@LINUX-PD:~> eject
eject: unmount of `/dev/sr1’ failed
jason@LINUX-PD:~>
What does
eject -v
Say?
jason@LINUX-PD:~> eject -v
eject: using default device /dev/cdrom' eject: device name is
/dev/cdrom’
eject: expanded name is /dev/cdrom' eject:
/dev/cdrom’ is a link to /dev/sr1' eject:
/dev/sr1’ is not mounted
eject: /dev/sr1' is not a mount point eject:
/dev/sr1’ is not a multipartition device
eject: trying to eject `/dev/sr1’ using CD-ROM eject command
eject: CD-ROM eject command succeeded
jason@LINUX-PD:~>
that is neat to know. Better than performing a reboot…
why doesnt it work in dolphin?
thx
qu1nn
eject -v is the same as eject just more verbose to tell you what exactly its doing. I’m not sure why it doesn’t work in dolphin nor that it didn’t work the first time with eject.
