Obsolete Packages

Hi!

I’m new in OpenSUSE and I wanted to know if there is a way to report
when a new version of an application/driver/whatever is available, so
the maintainer could update the correspondent package. In Arch Linux
they provide a mechanism: ‘Pkg: man-pages - Arch Linux Package Details’
(http://www.archlinux.org/packages/core/i686/man-pages/) You can click
‘Flag Package Out-of-date’ so you can send a message to the maintainer
in order to inform him about a new version of that package.

For example: SDL_gfx package from the OpenSUSE repositories is out of
date (version 2.0.17, but 2.0.18 available from ‘Home of Ferzkopp -
SDL_gfx’ (http://www.ferzkopp.net/joomla/content/view/19/14/)), where
could I report this?

Is there something similar for OpenSUSE?

Thank you in advance

PS: I’m Spanish, so I’m sorry about my bad English :embarrassed:

Package upgrades are issued via the ‘commuity repos’
(http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/). Generally, the official
openSUSE packages only get security updates between major releases.

There is a ‘search page’ (http://packages.opensuse-community.org/) for
commuity packages.
