I am using openSUSE 10.3, 32 bit. My motherboard has an onboard Quadro NVS 210s/GeForce 6150LE gpu; the pci id is 0x0245. According to Appendix*A.*Supported NVIDIA GPU Products, the 180.22 driver should work with this gpu. However, when I installed the driver through YaST, it was unable to load. The 173.14.15 driver works fine. Is there something wrong with the openSUSE 10.3 packages, or is the list of supported gpus wrong?
These links may help:

Thanks for the links. They did at least verify that the 180.22 driver should work with my GPU, though the specifics in those cases were different than mine. I have never tried to install the “hard way,” and have never had a problem with openSUSE packages before this. I might try the nVidia installer at some point when I have time, but for now I guess I’ll just stick with the 173.14.15 driver from openSUSE since it does work.
