NVIDIA drivers not working after updating the system

I forgot that before installing tumbleweed I had installed kubuntu, and it seems that tumbleweed installer doesn’t remove /boot partition by default.

Replying from a fresh tumbleweed installation, with 1Gb for the /boot partition (size was proposed by the installer), and the NVIDIA drivers working as expected.

I know this isn’t a NVIDIA issue as such, but maybe someone with the same root cause than me finds this post in the future and it can help understanding the real issue

@serjor your using grub-bls which is now the default in Tumbleweed , 4GB AFAIK is the default/recommended size for /boot/ef.

@malcolmlewis I installed a new tumbleweed a couple of days ago. I saw some trheads regarding grub-bls. What I did was before proceeding with the new installation I changed the grub-bls to grub-efi and all was good. 4GB seems too much.
My drive is only a bit more than 200GB.

Could be, there should be a sticky regarding grub-bls in the forum for information. :wink:

@conram most of mine run 128GB M.2 NVMe or SSD devices, all have 4GB for /boot/efi :wink: I think 2GB is the minumum, 4GB recommended…
