Hy to all.
Finally I had the new 180.29 working on my openSuSE11.1 HTPC-box.
The problem that still remains is that in HDMI mode I have an overscan and images of desktop & co. are too bright, fonts are strange not like in D-SUB mode, I suspect that refresh is 50Hz and not 60 as I set with nvidia-settings…
I have a flat 32" lcd tv panel Samsung: LE32A656.
I activated dual monitor with sax2 with 1920x1080p resolution both in D-SUB and HDMI.
HELP!!!
Noone helps me? :’(
Perhaps I posted in a wrong section…
:’( HAve I hurted you all?
None? Really?
sorry to hear of your troubles;
Have you tried a google search?
on
linux NVIDIA DRIVER AND OVERSCAN IN HDMI
By doing that, I found such postings in other forums such as
169.09 Huge Overscan in HDMI - nV News Forums
and
How do you lessen overscan? (8800GTS DVI->HDMI connection to HDTV) - nV News Forums
your searching may well find others;
the above two are from specialist forums;
folks may well do better; with some problems; registering on such specialist forums, and seeking help there;
if you do that; and get things sorted; please come back to this forum and post your news; each distro only has a limited number of folks who would call themselves “experts”; I have seen some forums members giving answers on Nvidia drivers, but those that do, must be on holidays at present …
good luck; do let us know how you get along
Thanks pdc_2.
I’m trying to subscribe me to nvidia forum.
Stay tuned.
