Nvidia and Suse 10.3 Screen flashes

Hello!

I just update my existing plaing vanilla video driver for SUSE 10.3 to the Nvidia driver, from the SUSE softare repo using YAST.

I followed the instructions what little there was exactly, the Nvidia driver insatlled great.

Now I have a rather weird problem
The screen seems to flash, very annoying.
Can ayone help me with this.
Before I updated from the generic driver to my pc’s Nvidia card there was no such problem.

What color depth is it set to if it is 24 change it to 16
Sometimes it works

Hi,
Colour depth is set to 16 instead of 24, same problem.
I even changed the refresh rato to 60 Hz.

Same problem the screen flashes.
I’m now sure 100% this has to do with the Nvidia driver.
As proof I had Xandros desktop 3 running with the on the same machine with the Nvidia drivers with exacltly the same problem, before I replaced it with suse 103.

Any other suggestions?

Just found this info out.
Maybe this has to do with my problem and others as well

All Nvidia G84 and G86s are bad - The INQUIRER

I just restored the original xconfig.org file.
which was before I updated to the Nvidia driver.
The weird flashing has gone away.
Can anyone help me with this?
To me it looks like there was something in the Nvidia xconfig.org which was causing this strange flash (like a screen refresh) to happen, that is not in the older none Nvidea config.

I can provide both original none xconfig.org and the xconfig with the Nvidea.

Thanks
