Nvidia 630a/7050 - Opensuse 11.1

Hello.
I have to problems with 11.1 and my hardware.
(Motherboard M2N68-VM with GPU onboard Nvidia 7050,
HD Audio SPDF,1GB RAM with 128 Sarred for GPU, AMD 3500+)

  1. GPU is recongized as VESA framebuffer graphics.
    How can i make it to work as Nvidia and with 3D acceleration?

  2. Sound Works bun only analog. Kmix and yast recogize the chip (as MCP67 HD Audio) but there isnt option for SPDF output. Only analog.

Any Help please?

Hi,

I have a motherboard with the newer 8200 (M3N78-EMH). All I had to do was add the nvidia repository http://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/11.1/ and then select nvidia-gfxG02-kmp-default package (there is one more package but it was selected automatically).

I have no idea about the sound bit, since I do not use the digital out.

Thats strange. Seems to working, (resolution is now at 1680x1050 max. before was 1280x1024 max.), 3d is supported, but in yast settings is still as VESA
