Nvidia 575.64 driver works with pre-Turing GPUs and kernel 6.15

I’ll put this in Open Chat, as I’m not asking for help … but think that others who install the Nvidia driver ‘the hard way’ will want to know:

It installed without a hitch with the 6.15.2 kernel, unlike 575.57 and earlier drivers (at least for me).

@Tuner yes the previous version needed patching for the 6.15 kernel… All good now on Pascal arch.

@Tuner Also just switched to kernel:HEAD (6.16-rc2) for testing Intel Xe driver and nvtop, the new driver compiled fine for the Pascal based GPU…

Yup … fine for me on my 750ti … also a lot of new parameters in the nvidia_uvm driver which hopefully means they’re getting system-backed VRAM back on track … a LOT of people even with the newer cards been grousing about that on the nvidia boards … I’ve been poking at it but it just isn’t happening with this version
