Numeric/arrayobject.h:No such file or directory

Opensuse 11.2 x86-64
python-numpy 1.3.0-22.1
python-numpy-devel 1.3.0-22.1

The Numerical Python (numpy) is installed.

Numeric/arrayobject.h:No such file or directory

What is going wrong.

On openSUSE 11.1

$ find /usr/include -name arrayobject.h
/usr/include/python2.6/Numeric/arrayobject.h

I’d hazard a guess from your minimal information that you’re trying to compile a C or C++ program. and that you need

-I/usr/include/Python2.6

in your CFLAGS.

I infer from your other thread (to which I replied) that you’re trying to build pyjack. Here’s what happens on my machine:

$ python setup.py build
running build
running build_ext
building 'jack' extension
gcc -pthread -fno-strict-aliasing -DNDEBUG -fmessage-length=0 -O2 -Wall -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -fstack-protector -funwind-tables -fasynchronous-unwind-tables -g -fwrapv -fPIC -I/usr/include/python2.6 -c pyjack2.c -o build/temp.linux-x86_64-2.6/pyjack2.o
gcc -pthread -shared build/temp.linux-x86_64-2.6/pyjack2.o -L/usr/lib64 -ljack -ldl -lpython2.6 -o build/lib.linux-x86_64-2.6/jack.so
-pyjack/pyjack2-0.2>

Yes that is true .
Problem is solved after installing python-numeric

thanks.
