I know that there is a thread on this topic. Unfortunately I could not find it.
On my 32-bit Intel Atom netbook with opensuse-11.3-Gnome OS, The number lock is staying even after the booting stops and the screenshot for user-id and password appears. Fortunately the indicating light is there to alert me. The 32-bit Intel Celeron Dell-Inspiron-1150 laptop is, however, behaving well. In both, though, the OS has been installed by the same installation-usb. Help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Many thanks. /etc/sysconfig/keyboard:KBD_NUMLOCK= was “bios”. After changing it to “no” everything is working fine.
Thanks again.
