Now I can`t playing CD ???

Hi everyone,
now I can`t playing cd on my DVD player.

Please could you help me please,before I get nuts.
Before is working perfect now not anymore >:(.

I really need your help.

Thx for the info. but can you please explain me what is KsCD and may “where can I find KsCD” I do not know what is KsCD?
Okay may is 4 or 5 days ago I put suse11.1 dvd and update it and final I can see that it will del. KDE 4.2.2 and reinstall KDE 4.1.X not even 1/4 del. I restart my computer that may screw up my system is it?

It’s a kde applicaton - music cd player
Look for it in the menu search - if not installed - use software management and install from there.

No it is not about the music, I burn Live cd from suse 11.2
it dos not bring up cd.I will try music CD/DVD in few min`s and let you know.

OK. Forget KsCD. It’s no use for your problem.

It’s difficult to know exactly what you have done. But why would you update from the DVD? I thought you were running 11.1 already?

If you have a working system of any kind, do

zypper lr

and post it here

I insert a cd music no devices plugged in,I looked in mnt empty and in media is a disk,when I click on it:
Error - Konqueror

X Could not enter folder /media/disk.
So the factor is it is not recognize it at all:\

Change them all to 99 priority
Delete kde4 factory (that’s the first repo in your list - and add these in place:

kde4.2 Desktop
Index of /repositories/KDE:/42/openSUSE_11.1

kde4.2 Community
Index of /repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Community/openSUSE_11.1_KDE_42

these should default to 99 also

then do: zypper up

Well it recognize my burned Suse but not my original music cd will not mount it at all.

I did what you told me to do: Change them all to 99 priority
Delete kde4 factory (that’s the first repo in your list - and add these in place…

Yes I can:

I have about 1000 cd and dvd musics from Germany,Spain and English collections. Yesterday I dry to playing one of the cds and it wont mnt it and I try to use VLC to see I cant playing any songs no.
Could you please tell me how I can mount my music cd?

I hope you can help me out:|.

Did you install KsCD?
To see, open a terminal and do:

rpm -qi kde4-kscd

If it’s not there go su in the terminal and do

zypper in kde4-kscd

Now try playing music CD with KsCD

I typed zypper in kde4-kscd and that is my answer:

You had your install media enabled as a source in the repo’s. Going by the mesaage you post, it has been disabled, but might be worth checking. You do not need the install media dvd set enabled, at least not if you have high speed internet.

So - Now open KsCD from the start menu
It’s easy just to type kscd in the search box of the menu.

It should play audio cd’s

My suse freeze when I login,it looks like I may have to downgrade to KDE 4.1.X:O
