Novell patents deal.

Microsoft gets Novell’s Patents rights but must share them with Open-Source Software | ZDNet

This sounds like good news to me.

I do not believe that Microsoft wants to promote open source programmes and operating systems type openSUSE. Generally Microsoft does not want to cooperate with a Company as Novel, which produce and promote a linux operating system. This “cooperation” will break down.
Of course this article is interesting, but not feasible.

I read the article. It is completely irrelevant what Microsoft wants or
intends or if it plays well or not. It is legaly bound now by the decision
of the U. S. Department of Justice. That is what counts.
To read something else into it is pure conspiracy theory.

Eee PC 1201n: oS 11.4 64 bit | Intel Atom 330@1.60GHz | KDE 4.6.0 | nVidia

I do not understand why these articles are written. These articles with conspiracy and unrealized Microsoft’s dreams. My opinion includes all articles who I have read about this false “cooperation”.

sorry to say, but you need to get a better translation machine…

this thread is not about all articles you have read…it is about one
article and your comments demonstrate you don’t understand it…
