I have a novatel mc760 and I thought I share how I got it to work in opensuse 11.2

it a bit sloppy but works

1)change in network setting to "user Controlled with networkmanager (if it not already)

  1. plug-gin novatel MC760 – when it displays in the “device Notifier” press eject

3)in a few moments the “new mobile broadband” device will display in network manager

  1. now click on it and add in account info – which can be very generic ph# #777 user/password anything I used internet

  2. now this is where it gets sloppy- you should connect and get all the network info-- but you may or may not be able to surf if not then you will need to do a couple things install kppp and add your user to dialout in users and group management- also you might have to add a modem connection in networking under modem- just so it will add some additional dialup software then once the software is installed you can delete the modem connection if you want.

after that the novatel device should work
