First, sorry if this is not the right place to ask this question.
I am using opensuse 11 with KDE 4.1 on Dell Inspiron 6400, the notification sounds are not working exept for login and logout, i still can play the files from the notification in thr configuration area.
I tried Xine but i stell have the same problem.

but this Troubleshooting is for someone who have no sound at all but i have sound and i can play mp3 and so on but the notification sounds is not working so is there any solution to my problem??

Check the Configure Desktop - Advanced - Power Management
Enable warning notifications - configure notifications

Warning notification is enabled and i can play the files from there, but still the notifications is not working outside the configuration menu. :\
