nothing provides libical0 >= 0.43 needed by KDE 4.2 Factory

Hi,

Trying to upgrade OS11.1 to use the new Factory release of KDE 42RC, I have changed all KDE Repos to the factory KDE ones, however when I go to upgrade using yast2 I’m told kdepimlibs package requires libical >= 0.43 which no repo provides, this in turn seems to cause more dependency problems, I can post the conficts.txt if it helps.
I’ve checked the repos manually and it appears to be true. The only place I’ve found the RPM is in the trunk/unstable repos. I thought it best not to mix the two or to install it manually.

Can anyone give me some tips on the best way forward so I can install KDE4.2RC?

Thanks for your time.

Tony.

The version you need should be found in the KDE4 Factory Desktop repository.

It would seem there is some process that occassionally removes libical0 from the repository. I just went and checked out the KDE unstable DESKTOP repository: Index of /repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Factory:/Desktop/openSUSE_Factory/i586

and there is no libical0 in the cupboard. :open_mouth:

Hopefully this will be figured out and the library replaced soon, so I can build my wifes SuSE box to KDE 4.2.

The repositories contain KDE 4.2 Final already. Check that you use the repository intended for distro version, esp. that you use Index of /repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Factory:/Desktop/openSUSE_11.1 and not Index of /repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Factory:/Desktop/openSUSE_Factory !
