Hello,
I initially installed my copy of opensuse 12.1 with the KDE desktop, i then decided to try out gnome, so installed.
I find gnome to be quite terrible, how do I remove gnome from my system?
Unless you are really tight on disk space, just leave Gnome there but don’t use it. Applications and their dependencies become sufficiently intertwined, that removing them can be tricky.

It should be enough to remove the pattern in Yast, but be careful of what
it really removes: don’t let it remove more than really needed.
O just leave it there, in Linux you have the choice to run several desktops.
